Pediatric Gastroenteritis and Dehydration

A 2-year-old male is brought to the ED by his mother. Mother reports the child has had "watery diarrhea" for the past 2 days with 8-10 episodes per day. He has been vomiting for the last 12 hours and is unable to keep down clear liquids. Mother states he hasn't had a wet diaper in 8 hours and seems "very sleepy and hard to wake up."
